In-House
Schererville Soccer Club's In-House program is a true recreational program.
It is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of soccer through a fun and positive environment.
DISCLAIMER
Schererville Soccer Clubs’ Recreational (In-House) and Rec+ (Travel) programs are outdoor sports and there may be practices and games that get canceled due to the weather and field conditions. This is beyond our control and our priority is the kid’s safety. In the event that games are canceled, we’ll do what we can to reschedule or makeup those games during a practice time. Extending the season is unlikely due to school calendars, summer/winter vacations, weather and coordinating with other groups that have scheduled use of the parks with the town. No refunds will be given unless the season needs to be canceled.
Schererville Soccer is a 100% volunteer organization from the Board Members to the Coaches

*U4 division is focused on teaching the kids how to move the ball with their feet. The kids are coached as a group. There are no teams in this division and the kids will learn to kick the ball at targets. There are no typical games for this division, just practices which are held on Saturday morning for 45 min. The kids will wear their uniforms to each practice. (No practices during week, only meet on Saturdays for 45 minutes)
U6 division is a 3v3 format (sometimes 4v4) with A and B players for each Team. There are 2 game fields for U6 and 6 players from each team are split between the 2 fields. This gets the kids playing against each other on an appropriately sized field. This division has goals and the kids will try to score goals. There is a no-play area around the front of each goal marked in paint.
U8 division is a 6v6 format including a goal keeper. Kids will be trained to play in different positions including the goal keeper. The field and goal sizes are increased.
U10 division is a 7v7 format including a goal keeper. Kids will be trained in the different positions on the team. The field and goal sizes are increased.
U12 division is a 9v9 format including a goal keeper. Kids will be trained in the different positions on the team and learn tactics.
U14 division is a 11v11 format including a goal keeper. Kids will be trained in the different positions on the team and learn tactics
(If Registration Numbers are low for this division, the U14 divisions may be playing a small sided format, depending on the amount of kids registered.)
*U19 In-House division will be a 3v3 format due to the lower number of players. The 3v3 games/practices will be on a smaller field using smaller goals. This format usually encourages faster and more fun gameplay. As the number of players increases in this division, the format may change. If we have enough players in future seasons, the program would change to a normal 11v11 game on a full size field with full size goals.
NOTE: The High School Travel program is still available for players wanting the 11v11 format on full size field.
